Sorry to disturb u all during the study break.

A request from our batchmate, for the Community Pharmacy Poster right, one representative from every group, pls upload yr finished poster into the Community Pharmacy Poster folder in the 108 drive as soon as possible. Pls rename yr document as the title of the poster e.g. Cystitis. U all know the password and username right? I'm not very sure they'll be examined or not... Just read all la...

Another reminder:

Pls complete the formative assessment in e-learning as usual for Comp Med and Repro System before the end of EOS.

Pls
do IMU Students’ E-Learning Satisfaction Survey by following the instruction below:

1.) Log into the e-learning portal first. (
http://elearning.imu.edu.my/). Go to the e-learning home page.
2.) Click on "Learning Innovation Labs" link on the bottom under the title of "Learning Space".
3.) In the following page, there are many links available. Click on the first "
Survey
" link.
4.) Then click on
"IMU Students’ E-Learning Satisfaction Survey".
5.) Fill up the survey form as usual and finally click on
"Submit questionaire"button. Pls fill up all of column including the comments. Pls remember that this survey can only be done ONLY ONCE.

Notice For Those Who Haven't Pay Sem 5 Fees! (13/10/2010)

Dear students who haven't pay sem 5 fees due to the delay in PTPTN,

Greetings from cashier's office. Kindly be informed that, we have extended the due date for payment of fees until Monday, 18 October 2010, regardless payment received from PTPTN or not.

Please be advised, failing to settle ALL payment by the above date will result in students being barred from attending classes or sitting for exams starting 19 October 2010.

Do take note that this is only a once off and no further extension will be granted in future. Thus, all payment must be made on/before the deadlines given.

Please note that this applicable only for existing PTPTN students not semester 1 student intake July 2010. Should you need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Farewell For Associate Prof Dr Mak Kok Fee (12/10/2010)

IMU Pharmacy school is going to organise a farewell lunch party for Associate Professor. Dr. Mak Kok Fee on 15th November 2010. tentatively at LT3, from 12.00noon sharp to 2.00pm.

We would like to invite you or representatives of your batch to be present on that day together to give your blessing.

We would be more appreciate if you all would come out with any form of appreciation (speech or performance) dedicated to Associate Prof. Mak. MIC Log Book! (12/10/2010)

To ALL,

For the Pharmaceutics IV MIC Log Book right, we have to answer all the 12 questions and the answer to these questions to be written on papers which are to be attached to the log book prior to submission.

Deadline for the Submission of Log Book: Wednesday (20/10/2010) by 5pm to AAD.

For the log book right, page no 5 (4. Learning Aspects), pls tick for the relevant box where appropriate. If let said u r in group 1 (R & D), on day 2 u learnt some things about new drug discovery research, u can put a tick in the box. We also need to do also for other groups as well during next Monday on day 8 by listening to other group presenting and then tick the relevant box la.

Pls leave blank for (6. preceptor's evaluation) and also for page 7 ~ the last part for lecturer's signature.

I hope that it's clear...

The Usage of 108 Drive (12/10/2010)

A message to ALL for the usage of 108 drive:

It can be used to upload n download files. it can store up to 2GB files.

Mainly its uses are:

1) to send files which r too big to be attached to the email. eg: hotmail max size is 10MB. so whenever u all need to transfer files but unable to do thru pendrive, u all can use it. eg: like during dr. arjun wants jun yan to collect all the ppt presentation of comple med.

2) anything regarding educational u wanted to share, u can upload it there so evy1 can download it. eg: power point presentation of MIC. if the grp leader upload it then mayb u all can download it to do logbook. or even our complementary medicine presentation...

3) any lecture notes that is not posted up the e-learning or I-drive will be posted here. eg: azman yahya n kelvin lim... (for now)

4) even songs or pictures or even video that r nice or related to our batch activities can be uploaded here too... though i know got facebook la... especially songs cos i can put it in the player n play it in the blog. share wif us nice songs k?

Pls do not delete the files which r uploaded onto it w/o permission unless its a file that u wish to transfer to other ppl. delete it after transfering to that person if its not intended for sharing. the files uploaded there is meant to share wif others n strictly for educational n batch related purposes. so dont delete w/o permission.

U all can create a subfolders. juz look for the subfolder column n enter the name of the subfolder n it will automatically create the subfolder in the main folder. to add a main folder just click the add folder button.

We will try to clear the files when it almost reaches the max capacity though it is not possible for the time being...

Do not simply give out the user name n password to other ppl who r not from our batch as they might mess wif the files in there. i trust upon u all to take good care n to use this "facility" wisely wif sense of responsibility.

2. With a clear mind and feeling energised after a sumptous meal, it's time for serious study. Not to worry, there is a TEMPORARY STUDY AREA (till Mar 2011) next to IMU Clinic.

3. However, we need to relax at times. Why don't you take a short trip to Carrefour or Pasar Malam EVERY TUE?
- 7 pm outside IMU (driver could drop you off at Pasar Malam)
- 9 pm at Carrefour
- RM1!!! (1st come 1st serve)

4. Finally, do not miss the HIGHLIGHT of Oct - HALLOWEEN NIGHT (29-Oct-2010). More details will be announced.

1.) Complementary Medicine Presentations

2.) Ms Wong said that she has uploaded some reading materials for PHP Debate and it is available in e-learning portal. U all can check it out.

3.) IMU Online Survey (BP108 Semester 5 Course Evaluation)

For those who are interested to do this survey, pls follow the instruction below:

i.) Go to this website: http://its.imu.edu.my/

ii.) Click on "IMU Survey" link on the left column under the title of "Resources".

iii.) In the following page, there are 4 links available. Next, click on BP108 Semester 5 Course Evaluation. Make sure the language is set at "ENGLISH" underneath the link.

iv.) Scroll down on the following page and click on "NEXT>>" button.

v.) Fill up the survey form as usual and finally click on "Submit" button.

vi.) For the selective right, if it's not related to u, just click on "1" then on the comment part just put "not applicable" I hope it's clear la... Any doubt, pls refer to me...

Updates: 6/10/2010

1.) Model-Industry Concept (Pharmaceutics IV) on 11 October 2010

The grouping and Monday's schedule for Model-Industry Concept (Pharmaceutics IV) is out already and it is available in I drive under Dr Rajinikanth's folder. U all can check it out.

2.) Complementary Medicine Presentations (Pls refer to the latest updates!!! Thx!!)

A request from Dr. Arjun. For every group members, can u pls convert yr powerpoint presentation slides to PDF form, and then send it to me by e-mail latest by tmr. Everyone, pls send it to this e-mail address: jasonsjy88@gmail.com.

3.) Mr Imran said that he has uploaded some reading materials for endocrine system workshop 1 and it is available in I drive under his folder. U all can check it out.

4.) Ms Wong said that regarding the de-briefing -- feedback for PSD OSCE will be posted on e-learning around next wednesday.

5.) Lost and Found: Anyone from our class who has lost a pencil case recently? It's a black in colour and has many badges including the orientation badges. Pls claim from me if u r the owner.

6.) For tmr's online course evalution, for those who can make it pls come la. CtME department said that for the last respond in sem 4 is not very good, so for this sem's evaluation session, pls come to fill up la. U all don't want PPP to come and visit us again.

Community Service Club: Food Fundraiser for Community Service in Laos

the Community Service Club of IMU is having a Community-Oriented Overseas Trip to LAOS from
the 20th - 27th of November 2010. They will be building a small library corner & will be conducting
health screenings for the villagers of MuangKham Village, Luang Prabang. 

They need to raise funds for the building of the library corner and for equipment for the health screening sessions
and therefore are having a Food Bazaar on
Monday, 11 October 2010
at the Atrium.
