Sharing - The Second Class Activity (Futsal Event on Friday- 9/7/2010) (Part Two)

Now, let see how the girls are performing, shall we?

As I asked and doing some survey around the supporters, most of them said that the female matches are more exciting than the males, even though not many goals are scored. Haha... Here are some of the photos of their matches~~~ Well, a lot of penalty-shoot-outs as I can said...

You Ming as a coach?

She shoot, she scored, hooray... Cheers, Red team!

Great save by Pearle...

Pearle as goalkeeper? Who will win?

The female teams final standing is

1.) The Orange team
2.) The SEXY team
3.) The Blue team
4.) The White team

Now, everyone that has been waiting for the "CLASH OF THE TITANS" The Excellent Team of our seniors (B107) against the All Star-Players of BP108. Who will win? I'm not very sure about this... The referee of this match well, at first i didn't know it was me. I was eating my biscuit at the supporter stand on the other side, then You Ming called me to referee this BIG match. It was a bit funny. One new and honourable experience for me... Hehe... Here are some of the photos of the match~~~

All the anxious BP108 supporters! Dunno who will win this match?

Finally, we managed to hold to 2-1 win over our seniors. Good job to everyone!!! Dr Kang even said this: "B107, u all lao jiang (too old oledi)" Haha...

Now comes the closing ceremony by Dr Kang again...

And not forgetting the prize giving ceremony...

1. Brave calf award (The best newbie award) -- Jun Yan (Aspirin) (The best defence of the teams -- only concede 4 goals and 1 clean sheet. Actually, only concede 3 goals only, last one actually not counted, NOT FAIR!).

2. Messidona award (Golden Player award) -- Harvey (Cimetidine) (Did anyone count how many goals he scored? I think he score in every match --- 100% accuracy on goal...)

3. Mr Bean award (The funniest team award)
Male team -- β-Blocker
Female team -- The SEXY team

4. Oliver Kahn award (The best goal keeper award) -- Pearle (The Blue Team)

Sharing - The Second Class Activity (Futsal Event on Friday- 9/7/2010) (Part one)

This is our second class activity that we have organised in semester 5 in 2 weeks time (Wao!).

We've organised a futsal competition on Friday Night (9/7/2010). A total of 9 teams have participated in this event, 5 male teams and 4 female teams from BP108.

The guest of honours: Dr Kang is there as well, in casual attire, as the cameraman as usual.

So, let the photos tell the story~~

At about 6.30pm, it was started drizzling again!?@#$% (why our class activity always rain OONNEEE? ><)
Everyone was anxious about the first match between aspirin and beta blocker. Final preparation is taking place~~~

Let me introduce all the talented teams, shall we?

The first team: Aspirin (wearing the all black Taurus Jersey)

Man-to-Watch: You Ming and the Goalkeeper (=p)

The second team: β-blocker (wearing the all blue LOST Jersey + MAKE UP)

The third team: Cimetidine (wearing the all white Pegasus Jersey)

Man-to-Watch: Harvey & Hau Yee Sdn. Bhd.

The fourth team: Digoxin (wearing the all red Phoenix Jersey)

Man-to-Watch: Faiz

The fifth team: Efavirenz (wearing the all green Hydra Jersey)

Man-to-Watch: Ah Beng

Sorry ya, ladies. In football, well it's gentlemen first. NOW, introducing the 4 ladies teams:

1st team: The Orange team (wearing the all Orange Griffin Jersey) (represents Holland-who lost to Spain =p)

Female-to-Watch: Joceline (Current futsal player)

2nd team: The Blue team (wearing the all blue LOST Jersey)

Females-to-Watch: Pearle (GK), Vanessa (CAM) and Kar Mun (ST)

Last but not least, the 4th team: The SEXY team (wearing the all red Phoenix Jersey + Cute MAKE-UP)

Females-to-Watch: Hmmm, everyone la of course. All are good looking ma... Haha!! =p

All teams are set, but before that, a speech giving ceremony by Dr Kang and the organiser, You Ming, finally the opening ceremony by Dr. Kang by kicking the ball into an empty goal. And let's the beautiful games of futsal begins~~~

The first match is between aspirin and beta-blocker. Very anxious. Gan Kian scores the 1st goal of the tournament. Eddy equalized the match to 1-1. Beep, beep, beep... The match ended with a 1-1 draw.

The male teams final standing is

1.) Beta-blocker
2.) Cimetidine
3.) Aspirin
4.) Digoxin
5.) Efaviren

The final is the showdown of the most exciting match of the day --- Cimetidine (Harvey's Magic Touch of Goals) vs Beta-blocker (Surprise everyone bcuz of their injuries and their appearances). The group match was 5-4 right win to Beta blocker (correct me if i'm wrong). The final was an excellent match. Haha. Harvey score first to make it 1-0. We thought we're heading for a penalty shoot-out bcuz a bizarre mistake by the goalkeeper cost them an equaliser, at this time the score was 1-1, ........

Foul (Goals NOT COUNTED!!!)

GOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLL!!!! BUT Harvey's last minute goal was good enough to put them win the title of BP108 making the final score of 2-1. Waoo, what a good match in the end as well.
The match was stop 2 times to clean the wet floor of the court before proceed to the next match.

TO BE CONTINUED IN PART TWO.... (TOO LONG....)

Pre-match Exhibition

Aspirin

With Jun Yan, the head of BP108, in their team, other teams must watch out for themselves during this tournament (You would never want to offend the chief of a population!). Woo, the organizer himself is the captain of this team! This team is really well prepared with 2 leaders among them! There is no doubt that the other 4 members of the team, Jason, Tiong Lun, Eddy and Wee Lyam, would be there to handle the ball well along with Jun Yan and You Ming! Plus, they have Jason, the sexiest dancer on earth and the nominee for BP108 Next Top Golden Boots, to spice up the match! :P

Captain: Kuan You Ming (Long Range Canon)

Well known for his bravery and aggressive playing style. He is also known as ‘tanker’, which means that he shows no mercy in cutting and tackling your ball. One word to describe him - “DANGEROUS”. He also has another trademark movement- long range shoot, sending the ball straight towards the goalpost from far, perhaps directly from his own goalpost. All keepers, are you ready for that?

b-blocker

The loan shark (Along) is in Team B!!! With bags of black money they collected from BP108, they might be the richest team of all! And this of course, makes Mun Fai the richest captain! With plenty of $$$ in his team, and competent honest accountants with him (Kit Guan, Min Wai and Gan Kian), he must had guided and trained the other team members well! So beware guys! And when they are tired of training, they still have Marcus to sing for them while CY dances non-stop to it. What an exciting team!

Captain: Lee Mun Fai (Cunning Playmaker)

He might look weak and skinny but don’t let this fool you. He might be the most dangerous player of all! Being a lightweight player, he possesses the most deadly skill in football – extreme flexibility. This gives him the ability to be cunning in dribbling and passing the ball. He also has the skill to carry the ball steadily and feed the ball nicely and perfectly into the penalty area for his teammates!

Cimetidine

Other teams do beware of this team! With the three musketeers, Eric, Hau Yue and Yi Siang in this team, they won’t be so easily defeated! Adventures have always been a part of the Three Musketeers, so this is surely a blood pumping match to watch! Derrick was the medicine man from last year’s LOST. We hope that he still remembers the skill of healing which will come in handy for his fellow teammates! And no matter how stress they are, Raymond will be there to calm them down by singing his way to the championship! The rumours had set in, saying that this is one of the best team of all since Hau Yue, the next NBA superstar, and Harvey, the hidden Beckham of IMU, are in this team? Could it be true? Other teams, do you all want to prove them wrong?

Captain: Harvey Chow (Masterpiece Magician)

Well, magician plays magic with his hands; but for Harvey, magic show is performed with his legs. You can never predict his next move and he will definitely stun you with magical steps and leave your mouth open wide with a speechless ‘wow…’ And while you’re drooling and amazed over his steps, he easily sends the ball into the net and score!

Digoxin

Under the guidance by Faiz, this team has a very high chance of being one of the top teams! With Ignatius, Yew Win, Dah Yun and Jude… Oh no wait! Jude has been “kidnapped” to the other team, Team E! Will this affect the mood and motivation of the remaining 3 of the Elite Four??? We shall see on the day itself! But I don’t think we have anything to worry about since they still have the tallest pharmacist in IMU, Aik Siang, in their team!!! He can surely tackle the ball well! And Eng Chun, don’t ever be fooled by his quiet personalities. He has great talents in futsal that is hidden deep deep deep inside his soul. =)

Captain: Faiz (Speedy Iron Wall)

It isn’t easy to penetrate through his indescribable defense! If you think that you are fast enough to break through the defense line in a counter attack, then you might be wrong! Believe it or not, you will meet someone who is faster than you, running towards you! The next thing you know, your ball is cut off and your attempt to attack failed. All teams keeper will pray to own him as the core of defense!

Efavirenz (Anti-Viral Drug)

Jude is here, leaving his 3 partners behind in Team D. Could he still play his best? Or will he be spending days and nights thinking of them? Let’s hope that all these dramas do not affect the team! This team has one of the most athletes, Alex and Beng Ho. Alex, the famous basketball player of BP108, whom the crowd is now praying that he will not kiss the pole again this time (you guys knew what happened..). And Beng Ho, the guy who has a stronger stamina than a cheetah, will definitely NOT run out of breath during the match! This is such a great treasure for Team E! The IT guy (Andrew) is also recruited into the team. Another great mind player, Soon Eu, the DOTA King, is also in the team as well? Oh no! This can’t be happening! Will they use their intelligent brains to hack the scoring system and manipulate with the score? Oh no, please don’t!

Captain: Chew Beng Hoong

Please don’t take this player lightly, he might be snoring next to opponents’ goal keeper, deep inside he’s plotting for a back stab! As long as you can feed the ball into the penalty area, then he can guarantee you a nice reward for your effort. While staying in his home – opponents’ penalty area, he can turn all kinds of passing or crossing or whatever into a goal with his clean, powerful and devastating strike, leaving the goal keeper stunned and unsure of what had just happened.

Girls Teams (A, B, C & D)

They are all so pretty, cute, nice, kind and woo~ Look at them, they are all HOT pharmacists!!!
Please do not underestimate all of them, the estrogen levels in them are so high that they are even more aggressive than the guy players!
And please do not be surprised if they see them screaming during matches. It is just a way for them to express themselves.

Only one team will win the title, who is it? We'll have to see on Friday. So everyone pls come support and cheer for yr favourite team. Good luck to every team!

P.S. We apologized if there is any offensive description being said. We do not have any intention to do so. Harap maaf.

K’naan – Wavin Flag Lyrics (official worldcup 2010 anthem)

Here the link for the song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-yfwoJlvhc

Lyrics:

(Intro)

When I get older, I will be stronger

They'll call me freedom, just like a wavin' flag

(Hook)

When I get older, I will be stronger

They'll call me freedom, just like a wavin' flag

And then it goes back

And then it goes back

And then it goes back

Ohhhhh

[K'naan]

Born to a throne, stronger then Rome

A violent prone, poor people zone

But it's my home, all I have known

Where I got grown, streets we would roam

Out of the darkness, I came the farthest

Among the hardest survivors

Learn from these streets, it can be bleak

Except no defeat, surrender, retreat

So we strugglin', fightin' to eat

And we wonderin', when we'll be free

So we patiently wait for that fateful day

It's not far away, but for now we say...

(Hook)

[K'naan]

So many wars, settlin' scores

Bringin' us promises, leavin' us poor

I heard 'em say, love is the way

Love is the answer, that's what they say

But look how they treat us

Make us believers, we fight their battles

Then they deceive us

Tried to control us, they couldn't hold us

Cuz we just moved forward like Buffalo Soldiers

But we strugglin', fightin' to eat

And we wonderin', when we'll be free

So we patiently wait for that fateful day

It's not far away, but for now we say...

(Hook) 2x

Ohhhhhhh...

Ohhhhhhh...

Ohhhhhhh...

[Interlude]

And everybody will be singing it

And you and I will be singing it

And we all will be singing it

Ohhhhhhh...

Ohhhhhhh...

Ohhhhhhh...

(Hook) 2x

(Outro)

When I get older; when I get older

I will be stronger, just like a wavin' flag

Just like a wavin' flag, just like a wavin' flag

Flag, flag, just like a wavin' flag
